Dr. S. Vignesh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Safety and Quality Assurance at NIFTEM-Thanjavur, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. With over a decade of experience in academics, research, and administration, he holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology. His research interests include Food and Environmental Microbiology, Fermented Foods, Biofilm & Anti-biofilm strategies, Food Safety, Nanotechnology, and Pollution Studies. He has authored 100+ research articles and several books and book chapters. Dr. Vignesh has secured research grants exceeding ₹45 lakhs and serves as a reviewer for leading journals including Elsevier and Springer. He has delivered 50+ invited talks and guided students from undergraduate to Ph.D. level. He actively organizes national-level workshops, conferences, and seminars.
