Dr. Srinivasan Krishnamoorthy is an experienced Biotechnologist with relevant experience in Nutrition Biotechnology ideally positioned to conduct research and to teach in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University, Trichy and doctorate in Biotechnology from Tamil University in 2015. A curious and passionate researcher achieved various research positions as a Post-doctoral Fellow, Research Associate and Senior research fellow in multiple research projects at the University of Pretoria, South Africa and Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, India.

The title of the doctorate was “Development of functional food as a bioremedial measure to asthma” and in postdoctoral research work was “Biosynthesis of carotenoids and retinoids”. Dr. Srini is ICAR-NET qualified and awarded a gold medal for first place in DBT-NLBTSE national examination. He has received Vice-chancellor’s post-doctoral fellowship - 2018 at the University of Pretoria, South Africa and holds a South African patent. He is a member of the Tuks Young Research Leadership Programme – 2018 as part of Future Africa Programme in South Africa. He has authored over 15 research and review publications in SCI-indexed and reputed journals. Further, he is a member of professional organizations such as Association of Food Scientists & Technologists (INDIA), The South African Association for Food Science and Technology (SAAFoST), South Africa and Biotech Helpline Foundation, Government of India.
