FACULTY PROFILE

Dr. Ashish Rawson is a Professor of Food Engineering at National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management, Thanjavur (NIFTEM – T), India. He obtained his Doctoral degree from National University of Ireland & Teagasc Food Research Centre Ashtown, Dublin, Ireland. He is the recipient of the International Teagasc Walsh Fellowship & Dr. V. Subrahmanyan, Best Scientist Award for his outstanding research contributions. He has published more than 100 peer reviewed articles, more than 30 book chapters and edited 02 books. He is the Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (IEI). He is also life member of various professional bodies like AFST (I), ISAE, ISTE, ISAB, IEI etc.

His area of research and teaching interests are novel processing technologies, food safety and quality assurance, process modelling and optimization, alternative proteins, food byproducts and waste valorisation. He serves on the editorial board for several SCI-indexed international journals.
